Vacations - Fire safety when away from your home

 

Before you leave the house

  • Check to make sure that all stoves and electrical appliances have been turned off or disconnected.
  • Unplug all televisions and radios as lightning storms or sudden electrical surges could cause a fire in this equipment.

When you return home

  • Check to make sure smoke alarms are still functioning.
